Have a special time during the winter break! Enjoy food, fun and friendships in the beautiful forested setting of Lake of the Woods Preserve in nearby Mahomet, Illinois. IFI is renting a heated park shelter, called the Izaak Walton Cabin, complete with a kitchen, fireplace, food and game room and splendid views of the surrounding woodland. We will have a tasty lunch that will include several vegetarian options. Enjoy board games, card games, Giant Jenga and Bingo, plus the option to hike the parks trails, check out the red covered bridge, or climb up to the lookout at the top of the park’s bell tower. Keep an eye out for white-tailed deer and other wildlife as well! Dress appropriately for winter weather hiking if your opt to go outdoors. The weather looks to be warmer!

The student cost for this event is $25 (Cash only – no cards, checks or digital payments). Transportation can be provided. Indicate transportation need in the sign-up below. If you are sure that you will attend, please sign-up by Wednesday evening, January 24th. This is so that we can plan for transportation and food. We want to avoid last minute cancellations so please commit to attending if you sign up. Thank you!
