Join IFI friends for a Spring Break hike through the Lake of the Woods Forest Preserve and tour the Museum of the Grand Prairie that is there in the park. This beautiful park is in Mahomet, just 15 minutes from Champaign-Urbana. The Sangamon River meanders its way through the forest and the museum tells the story of Illinois’ earliest days and its agricultural development. This event is free. Transportation will be provided by IFI if you need it. Snacks and bottled water will be provided. The weather forecast is calling for a sunny day, with afternoon temperature reaching about 23 Celsius. Enjoy the outdoors at the start of spring in Illinois!
