You are cordially invited to attend a pre-Easter dinner on March 29th. This is especially for international guests who are gathered here from all over the world. This dinner will be hosted by local residents from the C-U community who love to show hospitality to international students, visiting scholars, and their family members. The meal will be held at New Horizon Church on the outskirts of Champaign. New Horizon has hosted wonderful IFI dinners there on several occasions in the past. There will be games, including ping pong, foosball and billiards, and activities for young children. There is no cost for the dinner and you do not need to bring anything. Come and enjoy this time of friendship! There will be many vegetarian meal options. IFI will provide transportation for those who need it.
A special presentation, by Dr. Arun Paul, will be part of the evening’s festivities. Dr. Paul is originally from India. He is an expert on the ever-changing immigration and cultural dynamics that are occurring in today’s world. Dr. Paul will share insights about how Easter has a greater meaning to it than chocolate eggs and bunnies that appear on store shelves every year at this time. Discover the wonderful news of hope that its true story offers, no matter where you come from!
