Join IFI friends for ice cream and fireworks on June 27th. We will be celebrating the Independence Day holiday a few days early by enjoying ice cream at the Sidney Dairy Barn and then, immediately after that, attending the fireworks at West Side Park in Tolono. Both Sidney and Tolono are villages near Champaign-Urbana. You will get the feel of small town America with this event! This will be the fifth time that IFI has done this and it has been a popular event.
IFI has free transportation available until that is full. You are welcome to join us using your own car, but you still need to sign up below so that we know how many to expect. There is a suggested fireworks donation of $5 cash at the park, but that is voluntary and not required. Also bring extra cash for the Sidney Dairy Barn as well as for any food and beverage vendors and amusements at the park in Tolono. The foods served there are typical carnival types of foods. They have tasty French fries! Bring your water bottle and a beach towel or blanket to sit on the grass.
Sign up below, even if you are using your own car, and join the fun! All vehicles will meet at the South Laundry in Orchard Downs at 6:00 and travel to the Sidney Dairy Barn as a group. We try to sit just south of the baseball field. Fireworks will be launched from the north side of the baseball field.
